Video Blog – iPads in the Classroom

After few weeks of developing a hybrid-flipped classroom curriculum for my 6th grade math students, I am so thrilled to see their enthusiasm and interest in using the technology to enhance learning. Students have embraced the competitive nature of Khan Academy, and the enjoy sharing the various discoveries in the Notability app while downloading worksheets and practicing using their iPads. I have drastically reduced the amount of paper that passes through my classroom. Further, the iPads allow for mirrored work on a PC/Mac as well as on family iPads at home. So everything presented in the classroom can be replicated or completed at home. I had some extra time on my schedule this past week to develop a simple classroom day with stations. The students loved it, and every station was built on math practice. Take a look at the video and enjoy! CG
